Some evenings feel less like events and more like small openings in the universe—moments when people gather not just to celebrate a book, but to celebrate the quiet courage it takes all of us to live honestly. The launch of Radiant White Light was one of those evenings, and I couldn’t be more proud — and grateful — to have celebrated it with all of you.

On Thursday, February 19th, friends, readers, and fellow creatives gathered upstairs at Reddins Speakeasy for an intimate night of conversation, glowing cocktails, and gentle connection. I basked in a room carried a soft hum of anticipation—the kind that comes when people arrive curious, open, and ready to share something meaningful together. Of course, I was nervous to launch this vulnerable work, but I felt surrounded and loved by all of you.
Radiant White Light grew out of a deeply personal place for me. It is a book about illumination—not the kind that shines from the outside, but the kind that rises quietly from within. The light that appears when we allow ourselves to be seen, when we move through grief and joy, when we recognize that healing often begins by turning ourselves a little bit inside out.
During the evening, Gen and I spoke about that journey. About how light can exist alongside darkness. About how renewal sometimes arrives softly, like dawn slipping through a window. I was so pleased to talk with all of you, who shared your own reflections, asked thoughtful questions, and offered stories of your own moments of transformation. It became clear that while the book may have begun with my voice, the themes belong to all of us.
Of course, no celebration is complete without a little sparkle. Signature cocktails shimmered in the candlelight, conversations flowed easily, and the room filled with laughter and warmth. People mingled between readings, lingering over drinks and ideas, connecting in the way that only happens when a shared sense of curiosity fills the air.

What moved me most was the feeling of community. Publishing can sometimes feel like solitary work—long hours with words, quiet reflection, the careful shaping of a story. But a launch night reminds you that a book is never just one person’s journey. It is carried by the people who read it, talk about it, question it, and see parts of themselves within its pages.
As the evening wound down, there was a sense that something gentle but meaningful had happened. Not just the launch of a book, but the opening of a conversation about healing, renewal, and the light we carry within ourselves.
If Radiant White Light offers anything, I hope it is this: a reminder that even in our most uncertain moments, there is a quiet glow inside us waiting to be rediscovered.
And sometimes, all it takes is gathering together—with good people, good stories, and a little candlelight—to remember that it’s there. ✨

To my team at Pownal Street Press, Alison, Gen, Ash & Jordan (not pictured!), thank you for getting me through this pub process, with care, with wonder, with trepidation and tears when I needed them. Every cover revision, every word change, every idea that i couldn’t explain. You were there for me every step of the way.
Finally, with gratitude to everyone who came to celebrate, listened with open hearts, and helped make the evening feel so luminous,
— Mo
